Instructions for MA-Mass Communication Application Form

Offered by Xavier School of Communications (XCOMM), XUB.
ELIGIBILITY:

Bachelor's degree of minimum three-year duration (or equivalent) in any discipline, from a recognized University, with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Final year degree students, who expect to complete their final examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by June 25, 2020, can also apply.

How to Apply?
Step 1: Fill up the "Login Details" (in the Next page) to create and receive by email a unique XUBID/Login ID and Password for applying to XUB. If you have already received your XUBID/Login ID and Password, then login as per Step 2.
Step 2: Login with your XUBID/Login ID and Password. Fill up the Personal Details, Academic Details, Professional Details, choose the program/s you want to apply for and the respective test option/s, upload your photo & signature and Submit. (You may keep ready the scanned/digital images of your photo/signature in JPEG format, in advance. The dimensions of photo may be of about 200x250 pixels, and the signature may be of about 250x125 pixels, both images within 50 kb each in size).
Step 3: Pay the application fee through the Payment Gateway. (Application fee is Rs.1600/-).

If you have filled the application form and paid the application fee successfully, you will receive the confirmation by email regarding the acceptance of your online application form.

SPECIALIZATIONS:

MA in Mass Communication program consists of three streams of specializations. Students are free to choose any stream of specialization from the courses offered:

1) Advertising and Marketing Communication
2) Corporate Communication (Corp. Comm.) & Public Relations (PR)
3) Journalism (Print & Electronic).

SELECTION PROCESS:

The eligible candidates will have to appear for a written test/write a statement of purpose and appear for the personal interview at the School of communications/over skype. Candidates for the program will be selected based on the performance in the aptitude test/statement of purpose, personal interview, undergraduate degree marks and own creative works (such as art works, news items, photography & videography, campaigns, event coordination, leadership, acting skills, music and other).

The last date to fill up the application form is August 16, 2020.
